Męskie Granie is the name of a project group of musicians who set off on tour together. It translates to Men Playing. And that’s exactly what it’s all about. An all men, no women show – at least on stage. I guess women may be a part of the audience though…
The tour began a year ago in Gdansk and this summer the all together 20 alternating artists, ranging from rock to hip hop and electronica, perform in seven towns around Poland.
And tonight is Warsaw night! Of the nine acts, including some of the country’s best rock bands, only one name is familiar to me: the pianist Leszek Możdżer. So I guess this is an opportunity for me to listen to some for me unheard Polish music!
